Valorie S. Valencia, PhD, Founder and CEO
Dr. Valorie S. Valencia has managed and conducted dozens of cutting-edge scientific research, engineering, testing and evaluation projects in optics, material sciences and security technologies over the past 30 years in academic, commercial and Government environments. She cofounded and was President and CEO of Authenti-Corp, a firm that provided scientific research, consulting, testing and evaluation services in all areas of personal identification (2000-2010) with $500K-$1M in annual revenues. Dr. Val is a laser physicist, an internationally-recognized expert in the field of biometrics, and a Research Professor of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona. She is leveraging and applying her years of experience with longitudinal testing and data analysis principles to measure the effectiveness of beneficial products and services by providing a transparent online "lens" through which consumers and businesses can access their impact on each other. Who knew a laser physicist and biometrics expert would invent a breakthrough marketing system that is revolutionizing the way consumers buy things.
Juliet Martinez, Marketing Director
Juliet Martinez is an Arizona State University business management graduate student. She specializes in social media, guerilla marketing and reducing the cost of marketing by studying consumer behavior. She also hails as the current Miss Wheelchair Arizona 2014, which involves various volunteer events, advocacy campaigns and promotions events. Juliet’s passion is social media marketing—she believes social media allows us to communicate in a way we never have, with people we never would have reached otherwise. Juliet is creating clear concise messages that capture Stellar’s target market on an ongoing basis. She has developed unique approaches that increase customer loyalty and online presence while keeping mission in the forefront.
Professor Ana Magdalena Hurtado Arenas, Research Director
Dr. A. Magdalena Hurtado is a Professor of Anthropology and Health Sciences in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University. She is a skilled socio-cultural and biological sciences field researcher and specializes in epidemiological research design, biostatistical analysis and questionnaire design (qualitative and quantitative). Dr. Hurtado is interested in the culture change Stellar Systems create by inviting customers to participate in the quantifiable rating of a business’s products and services. As a result, customers play a key role in economic productivity. She will be certifying the validity and reliability of Stellar’s product and service effectiveness measures, which are quantitative, as opposed to qualitative (testimonial-based) in nature. For the first time in history, businesses and consumers will benefit from scaled-down research designs that meet basic scientific method criteria without the need for large-scale, double-blind scientific trials that are prohibitively expensive, and thus unreliable and inaccessible to communities of consumers and businesses. Dr. Hurtado will conduct field research interviews, design adaptable data collection and analyses protocols, and develop Stellar quiz queries and effectiveness categories that are appropriate to the cultures of the stakeholders. Her passion is studying the socio-economic ramifications of giving consumers a voice in defining product and service effectiveness so businesses can, for the first time, know the true impact of their offerings.
